SAVE MONEY On Laundry Soap!

Hubby and I haven’t spent a dime on laundry detergent or dryer sheets in over TWO MONTHS! Would you like to find out how? Don’t worry. . . I’m not suckering you into some type of corny Amway presentation. I just wanted to share a really CHEAP and easy recipe with you for homemade laundry detergent.

Hubby and I are very pleased with this recipe because it’s UBER cheap and saves us money. PLUS it’s better for our health (hubby has eczema, our son has asthma, and many name brand laundry detergents make my skin itch and break out).

I have tried sooooooooo many laundry detergents for sensitive skin — from the “no fragrance, no dye” major brands, to the all-natural/organic brands. They either worked well but were TOO expensive, or they weren’t pricey but they didn’t clean my clothes thoroughly and brighten them. Some laundry detergents didn’t completely rinse out of my clothes, and left residue behind. After a while, my clothes would look dingy, and tough spots which didn’t come out in the wash would turn into stains. So I began googling and came across a recipe for homemade laundry detergent.

homemade

Don’t let the word “homemade” throw you off. You don’t need to be a chemist, June Cleaver, Martha Stewart, or a radical-environmentalist-tree-hugging-hippie to make homemade laundry soap. Anyone can make this recipe, all you need are 3 key ingredients. What are they?

1. One box of 20 Mule Team Borax Detergent Booster. I found it at Walmart for about $3 (near the laundry and cleaning items).

http://myhighestselfblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/mule.jpg

2. One box of Arm & Hammer All Natural Super Washing Soda. I found it at Walmart for about $2-$3 (near the laundry and cleaning items).

3. One bar of laundry soap named “Zote” or “Fels-Naptha.” Walmart carries both brands. I use Zote (it comes in a pink bar or a white bar. You can use either or. I use the white bar). I also bought a bar of Fels-Naptha, but I haven’t tried it in my recipe yet. I bought Zote at Walmart for just under $1 (near the laundry and cleaning items). Some people use a bar of Ivory soap. Others use an all-natural or organic bar of soap. It’s up to you. But if this is your first time making homemade laundry detergent, you might want to start off with Zote or Fels-Naptha, then experiment with other bar soap brands once you’re familiar with the process.

What Does Each Ingredient Do?

Washing soda is a cleanser and water softener. It affects the PH balance of your laundry water and bonds to minerals and things in hard water so that your detergent works better. It helps with stains and eliminates residue build up (residue build up is often the bandit behind dingy clothes), this helps brighten your clothes.

Borax is a natural laundry booster which increases the cleansing power of your soap, lifts stains, and removes odor. It converts small amounts of water into Hydrogen Peroxide, which acts as a mild bleach for your clothes (don’t worry, it won’t damage your colors or leave bleach spots on them).

Zote is a laundry soap which uses non-abrasive ingredients to gently remove stains and clean delicate clothing. I find that Zote works better than major brand stain removers. Just wet the stained area with cold water, then wet the Zote bar and rub it on the stain. Let the garment soak in cool water for a little while and the stain should wash right out.

Other Items You Will Need

-A 5 gallon bucket to store your homemade laundry detergent (make sure it comes with a lid!). I found one at Walmart for a few bucks. You can also find them at Lowe’s and Home Depot.

-A cheese grater to grate your soap (don’t grate your soap with the SAME grater that you grate cheese with! Use a separate one. . . unless you want soap-flavored grated cheese mmmm yummy! lol).

-Measuring cups to measure out your washing soda and Borax.

Now For The Instructions

http://sd.keepcalm-o-matic.co.uk/i/keep-calm-you-can-do-it-18.png

Don’t fret. . . it’s really easy.

Step #1. Grate 1/3 (one-third) bar of your soap

Step #2. Add grated soap and 6 cups of water to a large pot and boil together. Stir every so often until the soap is dissolved.

Step #3. Add 1/2 (half a cup) of washing soda and 1/2 (half a cup) of borax to the hot soapy mixture. Mix and heat until dissolved. Boil entire mixture for about 10 minutes. Keep an eye on it. You are boiling SOAP. . . you don’t want it to boil over the pan and make a mess.

Step #4. Remove mixture from heat. It will have the consistency of honey.

Step #5. Add 1 quart of hot water to your 5 gallon bucket. Then add the soap mixture to it and stir.

Step #6. Add enough cold water to your mixture to create a 2 gallon mixture. I add cold water until the 5 gallon bucket is ALMOST half-way full. Then stir it again.

Step #7. Let it sit for 24 hours. The detergent will thicken, separate a bit, and have a gel-like consistency.

Step #8. Some people use a cup or ladle to scoop detergent straight from the 5 gallon bucket, but this can be a little messy. This is where the old laundry detergent bottle comes in. Stir your homemade laundry detergent first to make sure that it’s blended. At first it will be very thick, but that’s normal – as you stir it, it will loosen up and become more fluid. Now take your funnel and stick it in the opening of the old laundry detergent bottle, pour your homemade laundry detergent into the funnel and fill up your bottle. Now you can use your old laundry detergent bottle with its measuring cup! All you have to do is refill it. This is so much easier, convenient, and cleaner than scooping detergent from a 5 gallon bucket.

Additional Info

Remember to shake your old detergent bottle each time you use it, because homemade laundry detergent separates.

Use half a cup to 1 cup for each load, depending on the size of your load.

This detergent does not produce bubbles and sud up in the washer, but it will still clean your clothes. It CAN be used in HE washers.

It is perfectly safe to use bleach with this recipe when washing your whites.

This recipe makes my clothes really soft. But if you have ridiculously extra hard water the soap may not clean as well. Just add half a cup of borax or washing soda to the load to see if that helps. Or put white vinegar in a liquid fabric softener ball, which will help rinse out the detergent and soften your clothes.

I find that ever since I have been using this homemade laundry detergent, our clothes don’t get static cling anymore (when I find out the science behind that, I will update this article and share). This has totally eliminated our need to buy dryer sheets. If this recipe works just as well for you, and you do not care about adding fragrance to your clothes, you will not need to waste anymore money on dryer sheets. But if you still have static cling, you will need to buy dryer sheets of course. Some people want to give their clothes a light fragrance, so they add essential oils to their detergent or washing machine. I am not sure how effective this is, how long the fragrance lasts (or if it lasts through the drying cycle), and I have seen reports that it is not safe for the dryer — so I do not use essential oils in my laundry. Plus adding fragrances might agitate our skin and our son’s asthma. Our clothes come out of the dryer smelling fresh and clean using the detergent alone.

If you feel the need to spruce up dingy or heavily soiled clothes, or if you would like to stretch out your homemade laundry detergent — add a little scoop of oxyclean versatile stainremover or Triple Action Purex with Crystals. The oxyclean is a bit pricey. But I bought a HUGE box of the Triple Action Purex with Crystals for about $3. It’s super cheap and lasts a LONG time alongside my homemade detergent.

Did you know that the same ingredients used to make homemade laundry detergent are used in dishwashing detergent? Yep. . . . that’s my next project  :-)

I really do hope this recipe works for you and that it SAVES you MONEY $$$$$

Enjoy!~

Sign-Seeker or Christ-Follower?

http://mychristiancoffeeshop.files.wordpress.com/2012/10/miracles21.jpg?w=488&h=366

God most certainly can and does perform miracles according to His will. However, we should be careful not to chase miracles.

The Lord said that “An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign” (Matthew 16:4). The “adultery” spoken of here is SPIRITUAL ADULTERY (meaning unfaithfulness to God by serving and worshiping false gods). Jesus was saying that an unfaithful generation seeks after signs, wonders, and miracles. . . rather than seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33).

In Matthew 16:4 Jesus was rebuking a crowd of unbelieving religious Jews because they came to Him seeking signs, wonders, and miracles — but were not seeking HIM for who He is.

In Mark 16:17 Jesus said that signs and wonders will follow HIS DISCIPLES and not the other way around (i.e., His Disciples following after SIGNS AND WONDERS). Yet we have an entire signs and wonders movement today full of people who are seeking miracles and electrifying supernatural experiences. This should not be so.

http://godinanutshell.com/images/tv-pastors/benny_hinn011.jpg

We have to be very careful and watchful of leaders who constantly preach “miracles! miracles! miracles!” Because Jesus warned us that in the last days, many false prophets and false christs would come to us in His name, and deceive many people with lying signs and wonders (read Matthew 24:4-5, Matthew 24:11, Matthew 24:24). Paul the apostle said that lying signs and wonders will set the stage and pave the way for the appearance of the Final Anti-Christ (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12). These lying signs and wonders are used to deceive people who love lies and reject the truth of God that would save them. John the apostle said that many such antichrists have already appeared and infiltrated the church, which is why we have to “test the spirits to see if they are of God” (1 John 2:18-23, 1 John 4:1).

The message of the Good News is to repent and be converted, but who wants to hear that nowadays? Very few. False prophets know that the Good News is not popular, which is why they make an obscene amount of money telling people what their itching ears want to hear. . . “miracles, signs, and wonders!” They preach this false “gospel” under the guise of the “Holy Spirit.” In reality it’s the spirit of antichrist further deluding religious folks who won’t endure sound doctrine.

Some people may perceive this message as “negative” “judgmental” “attacking the gifts of the Spirit” or “rejecting miracles.” However I am only sharing the truth of God’s word in love. And I do not reject genuine miracles, because God clearly has the power to perform them. Plus I have personally experienced the miracle of healing and seen God perform miracles for fellow Christians.

My point is that we must be careful not to fall into the seductive sin of chasing miracles and seeking a “fix” like a religious junkie addicted to signs and wonders. God is not a Heavenly Butler, a magician, a drug dealer, nor an entertainer — we should not go to Him only for what He can do for us, for that next “hit” to last us through the week, to receive goosebumps and “breakthroughs” at revival meetings, or because we want “fish and bread” to satisfy this temporary flesh. God is the King of kings, the First and the Last — and He is worthy to be worshiped and sought for who He is, and not for what He can give us. We are to seek His face, His heart, His Word, His will . . . and not His hands.

http://dgw7l17furt3h.cloudfront.net/uploads/covers/6/picture/small_9a6d882650b843b7899070fd.jpg

Many people do not realize that signs and wonders are only temporary. They are fleeting experiences that do not last nor carry one through trials and tribulations. Signs and wonders will not anchor our faith in this perilous age, only Jesus will. Considering this, it is no wonder that sign-seekers are being swept away by the apostasy, because their belief is not firmly planted on the Rock (Christ), but based on a shallow obsession with the supernatural. Thus, anyone who promises them signs and miracles can easily toss them to and fro with every wind of doctrine.

Many people claim to experience miracles at revivals, conferences, and church meetings. But it’s not long before the “high” wears off and they’re back to their old carnal ways. Was there actually a “breakthrough” that changed their innerman? Was there actually a true miracle performed (salvation and regeneration), or was it just another revolving door of dead “revivals”?

Let us all examine ourselves to see whether we are truly satisfied with our Bridegroom alone and nothing else and no one else. Because if our heart lusts after miracles and alleged miracle-workers, we are like an unfaithful wife who seeks her husband only for his money and sleeps with strange men for excitement and pleasure. God forbid. Jesus said “Follow Me” not “follow miracles.”

“Pastors of L.A.”? WHY???

Can’t get enough lukewarm Laodicean “faith-based” reality TV shows? Well, you’re in luck. . . because there’s ANOTHER “anointed” trainwreck on the way. And this time, it’s ‘men of the cloth.’

This fall Oxygen media will launch an upcoming reality TV show “Pastors of L.A.”

According to a press release, the docu-series “will give viewers a candid and revealing look” into the lives of six prominent religious figures in the Los Angeles area: Noel Jones, Deitrick Haddon, Clarence McClendon, Wayne Chaney, Ron Gibson, and Jay Haizlip. The show will follow “their work in the community and with their parishioners to the very large and sometimes provocative lives they lead away from the pulpit.”

“Transparency” or HYPOCRISY?

Executive producer of the show Holly Carter (creator and executive producer of 106 & Gospel and executive producer of The Sheards, for the new series) said “This show documents a journey of transparency from one man to the next as they endeavor to lead others to their own truth and self-discovery.”

Maybe I’m the only one who notices this, but I keep seeing the word “transparency” thrown around like a get out of jail free card to excuse unashamed unabashed hypocritical behavior. Professing Christians (including leaders) behave like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and then try to justify their carnality with “I’m just keeping it real” and “being transparent.” Beloved, Jesus does not consider such behavior “real” nor “transparent” — He calls that HYPOCRISY (being a religious fake, pretender, or actor). There is no such thing a “real/transparent” hypocrite. That’s an oxymoron.

People play the “transparency” card because they walk after the flesh and do not practice what they preach. Rather than humbling themselves by confessing their sin and repenting of hypocrisy, they try to save face by calling their sin “transparency” because of their pride. Like the scribes and Pharisees, they are concerned about projecting a certain image to the public, rather than being concerned about living a Spirit-led set-apart life before God who sees the intents and motives of the heart. If we are truly living a life of transparency before God, then we will carry ourselves with reverence knowing that the Lord is always with us and living in us.

I for one, am not fooled by all of the talk about “a journey of transparency” on Pastors of L.A. I know that such language is used to prep and prime the minds of viewers, so that when these “men of God” misrepresent Jesus Christ on an international platform, their glaring contradictions will be excused by the “transparency” card. If these gentlemen were truly transparent before God — both teaching and living by the truth of the Gospel in their public and personal lives — there would be no need for the producers of this show to defend their hypocrisy in advance with buzz terms about “transparency” “a candid and revealing look” and the “provocative lives they lead away from the pulpit.”

The “Human Side” of Pastors

Fellow producer Lemuel Plummer (the creator and executive producer of Vindicated and producer of The Sheards) said “We intend to portray the human side of these pastors and the real world in which they live and work.”

Most Americans already know about the “human side” of religious figures. Unfortunately, we see and hear about it on a regular basis. I mean, all you have to do is attend the average American church, watch “christian” programming, the national news, or go online and you will eventually see the “human side” of prominent religious figures.

All of their short-comings, Scripture-twisting, false gospels, false teachings, false traditions, cheap gimmicks to gain members, profanity, compromise, materialism and financial corruption, perversion and sexual debauchery, controlling authoritarian behavior, spiritual abuse, domestic violence, self-promotion and narcissism, witchcraft, damage control and coverups. . . their “human side” is broadcast on a daily basis for public consumption. Do we really need a reality TV show to publicize more of the same ole ‘all have sinned and fallen short’ licentiousness?

Personally, I say ENOUGH of the “human side” of religious figures. I’m fed up with carnal pulpiteers and “christian celebrities” who flaunt themselves as “more anointed” and “more spiritual” than others, when in fact (as the press release put it) they lead hypocritical provocative lives” away from the pulpit.  Where is their SPIRITUAL side since they claim to be “anointed and appointed” by God? Where is the evidence of God’s Spirit dwelling in them and that they are qualified to shepherd God’s people? Where are the godly traits listed in Galatians 5:22-23, 1 Timothy 3:1-7, and Titus 1:6-9?

Perhaps Lemuel Plummer is preparing viewers for the “human side” of these leaders because the fruit of God’s Spirit is lacking in their personal lives. This way, when anyone points out their carnality, undiscerning folks will object by saying that the purpose of the show is to portray their “human side.” Hogwash. The public (the Christian community specifically) is being prepared and conditioned to see an onslaught of mad church disease and religious flesh on display.

The Church’s Addiction To Reality TV

Best believe Oxygen media wouldn’t waste a dime on a show like this if there weren’t a market for it among American Christians. Before you get defensive, I’m not saying that EVERY Believer feeds into reality TV (some of us don’t even have cable), but sadly, many professing Christians are addicted to reality TV and have a fanatical obsession with “christian celebrities.” They idolize their leaders and would love to trail their personal lives like a “holy” paparazzi. So maybe, just maybe this show will take off with high ratings. . . who knows, we’ll have to wait and see. But I will most certainly not be tuning in. You see, for me, the “human side” and “provocative lives” of religious figures is not a source of entertainment, but a source of grief and a serious matter.

Some people claim that this show can be used as a vehicle to “minister to the lost,” but I see it as a judgment on the apostate American church. Surely it’s a judgment upon western “Christianity” when the world views it as a source of entertainment rather than a source of truth, grace, and freedom. “You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.”

While professing Christians watch Pastors of L.A. for laughs, giggles, and gossip — I will be hoping and praying that such leaders and their followers repent of hypocrisy, and their pursuit of power, money, and fame.

We are called to be the salt and light of the world, not the entertainment of the world.

The “Pastor’s Vision”

One of the lies that many Christians have accepted without question is that they must commit themselves to “the pastor’s vision.”

This lie basically teaches that God has revealed a special vision to the pastor for his local church, and that it is everyone’s spiritual duty to unite under this common goal and serve “the pastor’s vision.”

This lie is reinforced by coercive statements such as “You won’t reach your full potential until you learn to serve someone else’s vision.” “Serving the pastor’s vision will teach you humility, loyalty, submission, and maturity.” “God will promote you and fulfill your dreams as you serve the pastor’s vision.” “The church will not grow unless we unite under the pastor’s vision.”

I can almost hear people objecting to this post with Scriptures like “Where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18), “Write the vision, and make it plain” (Habakkuk 2:2). However, neither of these Scriptures (when studied in their entirety and kept it context) remotely imply that we are to devote ourselves to the personal “vision” of a religious leader.

For example, in Proverbs 29:18, the Hebrew word translated as “vision” is referring to the law of God. Read the entire passage and not just half of it. It says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth THE LAW, [the word of God] happy is he.” Did you catch that? This verse has nothing to do with serving some leader’s personal “vision.” It is saying that where there is no LAW/WORD from God (being properly taught, proclaimed, and obeyed), the people perish. Hosea 4:6 says something similar. It says “My people perish for lack of knowledge.” But lack of knowledge of who or what? The “pastor’s vision”? No. Knowledge of God and His word.

There is a famine of God’s word today – there is almost no vision of Jesus. Very few leaders preach Christ and Him crucified, and very few people study the Scriptures for themselves and seek the Lord for wisdom. The masses of Christendom don’t know who Jesus is nor understand what He taught, and because of that, they are perishing. But he who keeps the law [the teaching of Jesus Christ] happy [blessed] is he. This is the modern-day application of Proverbs 29:18, not “you need to sign onto the pastor’s vision, or DIE/PERISH.”

Habakkuk 2:2 has nothing to do with co-signing a pastor’s vision either. If you begin in chapter 1, you will see that Habakkuk 2:2 is about a prophecy against Israel. The Lord told Habakkuk to write down a vision that He was sending the Babylonians to invade Israel and take them captive for rebelling against Him. But this is not what pastor’s are referring to when they say to “Write the vision and make it plain.” They are quoting Scripture out of context to solicit support (your money, time, talents, and spiritual gifts) for their personal agenda.

Saints, during the Old Covenant, the children of Israel had to rely on prophets for a vision or word from God (Hebrews 1:1), because at Mount Sinai they forfeited the privilege of hearing from God personally (Exodus 20:18-19). They also had to rely on prophets for a vision from God, because back then they did not have the Holy Spirit the way that we have Him today. They did not have a personal relationship with Christ, the hope of glory who lives in us (Colossians 1:27).

But in the New Covenant, we do not need to rely on prophets for a vision or word from God – because today, God has spoken to us through His Son (Hebrews 1:2). As Jesus said in John 10:27 “My sheep hear my voice.” Jesus most definitely has a vision for His Bride, and this vision has already been revealed in Scripture. This cancels out the belief that God only reveals His vision to pastors. God has already revealed His vision for the body of Christ in the Bible.

So if you want to know what God’s vision is for the body of Christ, study the Scriptures and ask the Lord for wisdom and understanding of His word.

Saints, we need to be careful of leaders who claim that “God gave them a vision for the church” so we need to jump on their bandwagon immediately. The Scriptures speak of false prophets who seduce God’s people with false visions. “These prophets are telling lies in my name. I did not send them or tell them to speak. I did not give them any messages. They prophesy of visions and revelations they have never seen or heard. They speak foolishness made up in their own lying hearts.” (Jeremiah 14:14; Ezekiel 13).

Many wolves have crept into the sheepfold with an agenda to make their own name great, not the name of Jesus Christ. Their plan is to “take this ministry [religious corporation] global”, not the Good News of Jesus Christ. They simply cover it up with “God gave me a vision for this church” as a tactic to gain the support of unsuspecting people.

The only vision that we need to concern ourselves with is the vision of Jesus Christ laid out for us in Scripture. Not vain visions and false revelations that come from human imagination. Most of these false “visions” are simply religious ponzi schemes and multi-level marketing pyramids posing as “kingdom-building” and “soul-winning.”

One of the reasons why Believers are so divided today is because they are too busy devoting themselves to pastors and their personal ‘visions’ instead of following Jesus and fulfilling His vision for us.

Take heed saints, the pastor’s “vision” is often a blinder which hinders you from seeing the vision of Jesus Christ. It places you in subservience to the “personal mystical revelations” of a leader, rather than the objective truth of God’s word

Are You A “DUMB Sheep”?

Unfortunately many Christians refer to themselves as such.

This self-demeaning “dumb sheep” label doesn’t come from Scripture. It came from the spiritually-abusive Shepherding Movement of the 1970′s (look it up).

The Shepherding Movement (also known as the Discipling Movement) was the failed attempt of religious leaders to promote accountability, submission to authority, and covenant relationships through “personal pastors” who acted as “spiritual coverings.” The goal of this movement was to develop mature character and prevent moral failures by making every Believer “accountable” to a “pastor” who mentored them.

As one can imagine, the Shepherding Movement became plagued by controlling religious leaders with a superiority-complex. They saw themselves as “the wise shepherds” and their followers as “lowly laymen” who didn’t know their right foot from their left foot. Believers were taught that “God calls His people sheep because sheep are dumb. They aren’t the brightest creatures. They’re stupid, rebellious, hardheaded, and defenseless.” The implication being that God’s people are brainless goats who “need to be corralled by a man of God who knows what’s best for them and can save them from their sheeple ways.”

Although the Shepherding Movement was dismantled decades ago, its abusive and demeaning teachings (including the dumb sheep concept) are alive and well. Believers continue to put themselves down in an attempt to seem humble (“Oh I’m just a dumb sheep dependent on the Lord!”), and religious leaders continue to insult and control their congregants by diminishing their spiritual identity in Christ.

The Shepherd and His Sheep

All throughout Scripture, we see the metaphor of God as our Shepherd and Believers as the sheep of His pasture (Psalm 23, Ezekiel 34, Matthew 25:31-33, John 10, Hebrews 13:20, 1 Peter 2:25, 1 Peter 5:2-4). But what you will not see is God likening us to sheep because we are dumb in the sense of being stupid, dull-witted, unintelligent, and foolish.

The Lord used the metaphor of a Shepherd and His sheep to illustrate His protective nature, guidance, provision, tender care, oversight, and sacrificial love for us. The Lord calls us “sheep” as a term of endearment, not to imply that we are idiots, aloof, or simpletons.

“But Don’t The Scriptures Call People Dumb?”

The term “dumb” is used in Scripture, but never in reference to followers of Jesus Christ. And the ancient Hebrew and Greek terms translated as “dumb” never meant stupid, dull-witted, unintelligent, and foolish.

In Scripture, the term dumb meant to lack the ability to speak (due to a physical disability or demon-possession). For example, in Matthew 9:32-33, Jesus cast a demon out of a man who was deaf and dumb (mute, unable to speak).

It meant being rendered speechless due to astonishment (i.e., “dumbfounded”). For example, in Daniel 10, Daniel was trembling and dumbfounded (rendered speechless) after seeing a heavenly vision.

It also meant to hold one’s peace by remaining silent. For example, Isaiah 53:7 says of Christ “He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is dumb [silent] before the shearers, he did not open his mouth.”

Nowhere in Scripture does it state that the body of Christ is a flock of “dumb sheep” or dumb in the sense of being stupid.

How does God View His Sheep?

The Good Shepherd said:“But the one who enters through the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep recognize his voice and come to him. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice. They won’t follow a stranger; they will run from him because they don’t know his voice.” (John 10:2-5)

Jesus has a complimentary view of His sheep. He said that we recognize His voice and come to Him, and that we follow Him because we know His voice. But we will not follow strangers, we run away from them. Does that sound like a “DUMB sheep” to you? Is that the behavior of someone who is stupid? Not at all. Following Jesus and avoiding false shepherds is discerning and spiritually-smart. Let’s keep reading. . .

“All who came before me were thieves and robbers. But the true sheep did not listen to them.” (John 10:8) Refusing to listen to wolves and hirelings shows good judgment and wisdom, not naivete and idiocy (a lack of sound judgment).

“Look, I am sending you out as sheep among wolves. So be as wise as serpents and as harmless as doves.” (Matthew 10:16) Did Jesus send us out as “DUMB sheep” among wolves? No. As “wise serpents” (meaning INTELLIGENT, careful, and mindful).

How Did The Apostles View God’s Sheep?

“And concerning you, my brethren, I myself also am convinced that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able also to admonish one another.” (Romans 15:14). Paul didn’t view the saints as incompetent stumbling bumbling dumb sheep. He believed that they were knowledgeable enough to warn each other about the very things he wrote about.

“I want you to be wise in what is good and innocent in what is evil.” (Romans 16:19) Can “dumb sheep” be wise in what is good?

“I always thank my God for you and for the gracious gifts he has given you, now that you belong to Christ Jesus. Though him, God has enriched your assembly in every way—with all of your eloquent words and all of your knowledge.” (1 Corinthians 1:4-5) Paul saw the saints as gifted and knowledgeable. He had no interest in controlling, micromanaging, and babysitting them. He expected them to be spiritually-competent enough to exercise their spiritual gifts in decency and order (1 Corinthians 12, Romans 12:6-8).

1 Corinthians 2:16 says that we have “the mind of Christ.” Believers are clearly expected to be spiritually-smart and mature in understanding, not “dumb sheep.” This is why the saints were sometimes reproved for being carnal and stunted in their spiritual growth (1 Corinthians 3:1-3). The apostles had high expectations for them.

“Brethren, do not be children in your thinking. Be innocent as babies when it comes to evil, but in your thinking be mature.” (1 Corinthians 14:20)

“He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.”(Ephesians 1:8)

“Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” (Ephesians 5:15-17)

“. . . for the Holy One has given you His Spirit [anointing], and all of you know the truth. So I am writing to you not because you don’t know the truth but because you know the difference between truth and lies” (1 John2:20-21, 1 John 2:27). It doesn’t sound like John the apostle saw the saints as dumb sheep either. He saw them as anointed, discerning, and knowledgeable in the truth. He didn’t write to them because he saw them as defenseless, helpless, and aloof to deception. According to John, they didn’t even need anyone to teach them the difference between truth and counterfeit, because the anointing [Holy Spirit] already taught them the truth. John wrote them to confirm the unction of the Holy Spirit.

In Conclusion

The cliché about “sticks and stones” isn’t true. Words hurt. And they can and do have a deep negative impact on us, especially when coupled with the subversive influence of twisted Scripture. In a world full of put-downs, insults, verbal abuse, and demeaning language – especially towards Christians, the last thing we need is to seek comfort and encouragement among the saints, only to be called “dumb sheep” by some “wise shepherd” who ought be a stellar example of the CHIEF Shepherd’s grace, loving-kindness, and tender care.

And frankly, if religious leaders think that congregants are so stupid and dim-witted, then that’s simply a reflection of their poor leadership,watered-down “gospels”, and “dumbed-down” version of Christianity.

Although I am convinced that there is a dumbing-down taking place in churchianity today, I am not convinced that God’s people are “dumb sheep.” No. . . we are not dumb at all. Like the Jews at Berea, we are “more noble” than that.

And the people of Berea were more noble than those in Thessalonica, and they listened eagerly to Paul’s message. They searched the Scriptures day after day to see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth.” (Acts 17:11)

“How Shall They Hear Without A Preacher”?

“How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?” (Romans 10:14)

The last part of Romans 10:14 ["how shall they hear without a preacher?"] is often twisted out of context, to promote the idea that Believers cannot hear directly from God without a religious leader. But is that what Romans 10:14 is saying? Is it saying “And how shall they [Believers] hear from God without a religious leader?”

As with any passage of Scripture, the key to properly interpreting the meaning of the text is paying attention to the context [who, when, what, where, why, how].

It is dangerous and reckless to jump into the middle of a chapter, rip a verse out of context, and quote it to support an idea that may very well be contrary to the teaching of Jesus Christ.

Peter the apostle spoke of individuals who mishandle the Scriptures that way. He said that they are unlearned and unstable, because they twist Paul’s letters to teach something totally different than what he actually meant. And they do the same thing with other parts of Scripture, which leads to their own destruction (2 Peter 3:15-16). Let us not fall into that category, but instead, let us properly interpret the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).

So, when Paul wrote “how shall they hear without a preacher?” who was he referring to? Who is “THEY” in this verse?

This question can be easily answered by reading the beginning of Romans 10 which says “Dear brothers and sisters, the longing of my heart and my prayer to God is for the people of Israel [the Jews] to be saved.” (Romans 10:1)

Looking at Romans 10:1 which sets the stage for this chapter and flows into the context of verse 14, it is clear that Paul was referring to the people of Israel [the Jews] and his desire for them to be saved. He wasn’t referring to those who are already saved [Believers in Jesus Christ].

When he wrote “how shall they hear without a preacher?” he wasn’t saying “how shall BELIEVERS hear from God without a religious leader” as if we are spiritually-deaf and cannot hear directly from God. He was saying how shall the people of Israel [the Jews] hear of Jesus Christ without a preacher/evangelist [one who proclaims the Gospel]?

So, next time you hear someone twist Romans 10:14 out of context to imply that you can’t hear directly from God without a religious leader, don’t fall for the okie doke because the context is actually referring to unsaved Jews — not Believers in Jesus Christ.

The Scriptures clearly teach that in the New Covenant, the Spirit of God lives in us — therefore, we have the ability, the responsibility, and the privilege of hearing directly from God and obeying His voice.

As it is written in the Scriptures, ‘They will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who listens to the Father and learns from him comes to me.” (John 6:45)

My sheep hear my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” (John 10:27)

But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.” (John 14:26)

Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the assembly.” (Revelations 2:29)

What’s Wrong With The Boy Scouts of America?

Boy-Scouts-360x372In case you haven’t heard, the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) is considering revoking its current national policy on homosexuality — a policy which prohibits open homosexuals from joining as Scout youth, leaders, and volunteers.

On the BSA website under the section “Overview of Boy Scouts of America”, their stated purpose is “to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.”

The values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law include being morally straight and clean. In keeping with these values, the BSA established a nationwide policy on homosexuality which prohibits open homosexuals from becoming members.

“We believe that homosexual conduct is inconsistent with the requirement in the Scout Oath that a Scout be morally straight and in the Scout Law that a Scout be clean in word and deed, and that homosexuals do not provide a desirable role model for Scouts.” (1991 BSA position statement)

The BSA rightly stated that homosexuality is inconsistent with being morally upright and clean. If open homosexuals were welcomed into leadership roles, the organization would be teaching youth members that homosexuality is an acceptable form of sexuality.

Back in 2000, James Dale, a former assistant Scoutmaster, was expelled from the BSA after they learned that he was an open homosexual and a pro-homosexual activist.

In response to the BSA revoking his membership, Dale filed a lawsuit in the New Jersey Superior Court, alleging that the BSA violated a state statute prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation in places of public accommodation.

The New Jersey Supreme Court ruled against the BSA, stating that they violated the State’s public accommodations law by revoking Dale’s membership based on his homosexuality.

In April of 2000, the BSA appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court [SCOTUS] to defend their policy on homosexuality and fight for their right to establish their own standards for membership and leadership.

The BSA won the court case, and the SCOTUS agreed that since Dale was a pro-homosexual activist and the co-president of a homosexual organization at college, his presence in the BSA would force them to send a message contrary to and inconsistent with their stated values. Some people suspect that a part of Dale’s pro-homosexual activism was to send such a message through his presence as a Scoutmaster.

BSA Compromise & Back-pedaling?

aoh_boyscouts-620x412

So, here we are in 2013, and the BSA is considering revoking its national policy on homosexuality and letting local BSA councils set their own individual policies on homosexuality.

This is an ungodly compromise. Yet it is not compromising enough for pro-homosexual activists like James Dale.

As many of us know, the pro-homosexual activist movement will not accept compromise. They demand nothing less than total endorsement, celebration, and normalization of homosexuality at every level of society.

“You can’t have children in one troop thinking that discrimination is acceptable and scouts in a neighboring troop to think that discrimination is unacceptable,” “The anti-gay policy was top-down. I think that nondiscrimination needs to be top-down as well.” (James Dale)

As implied by Dale’s statement above, the pro-homosexual crusade against the BSA will not end until they have fully overturned the BSA’s national policy on homosexuality and forced every local BSA council to welcome open homosexuals into its membership. Not one local council can be left unhomosexualized. They must all cower down before the idol of same-sex lust and acquiesce to a radical destructive sexual agenda.

A History of Compromise

This is not the first time that the BSA has potentially compromised to appease pro-homosexual activists.

In 2010, the BSA formed an 11-member committee  to conduct a confidential two-year review to determine whether they should uphold their long-standing policy on homosexuality.

After two years of deliberation, the special committee “came to the conclusion that this policy is absolutely the best policy for the Boy Scouts.” (Deron Smith, BSA national spokesman)

Perhaps you’re wondering why I call this a compromise since the BSA decided to preserve their policy on homosexuality.

Well, considering that the BSA Scout Oath and Scout Law says to do their duty unto God, be obedient and reverent — why on earth would they even entertain the possibility of revoking a common sense policy on homosexuals? Where was their duty unto God, their obedience and reverence for Him?

Where was the urgency? Why did it take them TWO YEARS to review the matter and decide not to concede to the preposterous and dangerous demands of the pro-homosexual mafia? Is this foot-dragging behavior the type of character that Boy Scout youth should emulate?

When it comes to protecting children from sexual perversion, adults should automatically and firmly respond with a resounding “No!” It doesn’t take two years, two months, two weeks, two days, or even two hours to decide whether sexual deviants should or should not have access to children.

The fact that the BSA took two years to deliberate on a request which should have been rejected immediately indicates a deeper problem within the higher ranks of this organization.

Child Sacrifice

f55142da42ba8357a134a8cbff8a53c7

Behind the “morally straight” and “clean” rhetoric of the BSA lies the dark history of a century-long cover-up of sexual abuse by Scout leaders.

This dark history is documented in over 14, 000 pages known as the “perversion files” which detail over twenty-thousand allegations of child sexual abuse by Scoutmasters and adult volunteers.

The BSA claims that these files were kept to track sex offenders and protect children, but past cases show that many of these accusations were never reported to the police. Instead, the accused pedophiles were quietly dismissed, shuffled to a different local troop, or re-admitted to the BSA at a later date.

In a 2010 Portland Oregon lawsuit, a jury ruled that the BSA failed to protect a former boy scout from a pedophile assistant Scoutmaster in the 1980′s, even though the abuser had previously admitted molesting other boy scouts. The jury awarded $20 million to the plaintiff.

The BSA destroyed thousands of its “ineligible volunteer” perversion files, but still has around 6, 000 files in its possession and fights against disclosing this information to the courts. This demonstrates a lack of transparency within the highest ranks of the BSA. Click here http://www.kosnoff.com/pdfs/1.pdf

To add to the much-warranted suspicion of BSA damage control, concealment, and cover-ups — the BSA excluded the public and the press from a November 1, 2012 closed-door ‘safety’ conference about child sex-abuse prevention. Why all the secrecy? What were they trying to hide from the public? Click here BSA damage control

BSA leadership reassures the public that child sexual abuse by accused pedophile leaders and adult volunteers is a thing of the past, and that they have since implemented prevention and awareness programs. However, the law firm Kosnoff Fasy claims that analysis of BSA internal files shows that a molesting scout leader is placed in the BSA “ineligible volunteer” files at a rate of one every three days for the past 50 years.

Kosnoff Fasy also claims that “For 80 years, the BSA has been aware that its organization attracts many pedophiles wanting to be scoutmasters. . .  Because there is a higher risk that a boy will suffer sexual abuse if he joins the Boy Scouts, it is time that the BSA told the truth to parents and scouts about the size of the problem and the unique characteristics of scouting that make it particularly vulnerable to infiltration by pedophiles. . . The BSA has got to stop covering up these problems.”

None of this information was shared to take away from the honorable deeds and wholesome activities of the BSA. Nor is it intended to malign the character of BSA scout leaders and adult volunteers. Indeed, there are many sincere and dedicated individuals within the BSA organization.

However, we should not let the good things about the BSA blind us from being objective and taking immediate action to address their institutional concealment of child sexual abuse. The BSA is not exempt from accountability and public scrutiny by virtue of its honorable deeds, wholesome activities, and dedicated members.

child sacrifice to Canaanite gods

It is shameful and despicable that some adults are trying to negate and minimize the reality of child sexual abuse within the BSA. We are not talking about one pedophile, as seen in the Sandusky scandal at Penn State. We are talking about the concealment of mountains of potential pedophiles and thousands of victims. This indicates a systemic crisis and a national cover-up from the highest ranks of BSA leadership down to the local level.

It is the duty of adults to protect children, not protect the public image of organizations and community leaders. Anyone who denies this or callously shrugs their shoulders at this horrific tragedy all for the sake of protecting the reputation and brand of the BSA, is negligent and enabling child sacrifice.

Considering the BSA’s cover-up of the perversion files, it is not surprising to see them once again dragging their feet and compromising on another sexual issue.

If they will cover up pedophilia, then it is nothing for them to eventually allow open homosexuals into their organization.

Secular humanists would object that allowing open homosexuals into the BSA is not the same as allowing pedophiles into leadership roles where they can sexually abuse boy scouts. This objection stems from a false distinction between homosexuality and pedophilia — that homosexuality is perfectly fine and on par with heterosexuality, but that pedophilia is immoral and criminal.

Those of us who are spiritually-minded know that in the eyes of God, both homosexuality and pedophilia are sinful, unnatural, abominable, and Satanic. The Lord makes no moral or spiritual distinction between homosexuality and pedophilia. A homosexual does not hold any “moral high ground” over a pedophile.  Both are immoral, perverse, destructive, and demonic.

It is based upon this understanding that I said if the BSA will quietly dismiss accused pedophiles and even re-admit them to leadership roles, then it is nothing for them to eventually allow open homosexuals into their organization. There is no moral or spiritual distinction between the two.

No organization — be it the Roman Catholic church or the BSA — can allow one type of sexual deviancy (by covering it up) and disallow another type of sexual deviancy. Once an organization allows a spirit of sexual perversion to enter in and operate, it cannot close the door once the tsunami of sexual anarchy floods in.

The BSA & Interfaith Unity

Another reason why the BSA is compromising, is because it is built upon the slipping sands of interfaith unity.

Interfaith unity is based upon a few main false teachings: 1) There are many ways to God. 2) There is no absolute objective truth, there are “many different truths” for different people. Everyone has “their own truth.” 3) All religions actually worship the same God (the God of the Bible), they just call Him by different names. 4) Everyone should unite on common ground to “dialogue,” worship together, pray together, and work together to make the world a better place. 5) Interfaith unity can bring world peace.

What’s wrong with interfaith unity?

The belief that there are many ways to God is a lie. Jesus is the one-and-only exclusive way to the Father: I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

If someone seeks to know God, worship Him, and be saved — they must come to the Father through Jesus Christ. There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12) “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. . . if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.” (John 10:7, 9)

Any religion which presents itself as “another way to God” or “an alternative path to salvation, enlightenment, or spirituality” is false, a Satanic deception, and antichrist (i.e., inserting itself in the place of Jesus).

The religions of the world are not equally valid nor spiritually-equivalent to Jesus Christ. It is blasphemy to demote Jesus to the same level as Islam, Buddhism, Mormonism, the Watchtower (the “Jehovah’s Witnesses”), Scientology, Roman Catholicism, the Baha’i religion, Hinduism, Judaism, Taoism, New Age spirituality, Wicca, the Nation of Islam, etc. All of these religions are a way which seem right to man, but they end in death.

The belief that “there is no absolute objective truth, everyone has their own truth” is a lie. Jesus not only said that He is the only way to the Father, but He also said that He is THE Truth. The notion that there are many different (contradictory) truths for each person is pure poppy cot. There is only one truth and His name is Jesus Christ. If something does not accord with Jesus and His teaching, then it is a LIE period — it is not “relative truth” for the person who believes it.

The nature of truth is based on the nature of Christ (because He is the truth), and Christ’s nature is unchanging/immutable and consistent (Malachi 3:6, Hebrews 13:8). He is not inconsistent nor schizophrenic — He does not reveal contradictory “truths” to different people. The Lord reveals one truth to all men, and that truth is Jesus Christ and man’s need to repent and believe in Him for salvation. If someone believes otherwise, it is not because “God revealed a different truth to them.” It is because they are a deceived idolater who exchanged the truth of God for a lie.

The belief that “all religions actually worship the same God (the God of the Bible), they just call Him by different names” is a lie.

Although there are some commonalities among the world religions, there are also many major fundamental differences between them. Hinduism teaches that there are many gods (polytheism). New Age spirituality teaches that “the universe is god and you are god.” Islam teaches that “Allah is the true god and Muhammad was his final prophet.” The God of Scripture teaches that Jesus is the only way to the Father and the only Savior sent to deliver mankind. With all of these fundamental differences, it is obvious that everyone is not worshiping the same God, especially not the God of the Bible.

The True and Living God only receives true worship (worship in Spirit and in Truth) offered up by born-again Believers through the mediation of Jesus Christ. Anything else offered up as “worship” is idolatry (the false worship of false gods), rebellion, witchcraft, paganism, strange fire, and sacrifices offered to demons (1 Corinthians 10:20-22).

WorldPeace_Yoga_Jubilee_Logo_with_Tagline

One of the biggest deceptions today is the belief that interfaith unity can bring world peace, if only everyone “sets their differences aside” and unites on common ground to “dialogue,” worship together, pray together, and work together to make the world a better place.

For the born-again Believer, there is no “religious dialogue” with unbelievers unless we are sharing the Gospel with them, rebuking and refuting their errors, and proving from Scripture that Jesus is the Messiah. But if an unbeliever is not receptive of the Gospel, if they refuse to repent of their errors when rebuked and refuted, and if they reject that Jesus is the Messiah — there is no point in wasting time in “interfaith dialogue” with them.

Jesus said that if someone does not receive us (which would mean that they don’t receive  Him), we are to brush the dust off of our feet, let our peace return to us, and move on — not “unite on common ground for dialogue and peace talks.”

Without reconciling to God through Jesus Christ, there is no peace. Jesus did not pray for world peace, nor did He come to bring peace to the world, but a sword of division. He divides the sheep (those who trust and follow Him) from the goats (those who reject Him and disobey Him). My prayer is not for the world, but for those you have given me, because they belong to you.” (John 17:9) “Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household.” (Matthew 10:34-36)

Is it wrong for Believers to unite with unbelievers so that we can work together and make the world a better place? Yes it is. Jesus instructed BELIEVERS to work together in sharing the Gospel, clothing the naked, feeding the hungry, visiting the imprisoned, and taking care of the sick, widows, and orphans in their distress. We do not unite with enemies of God (unbelievers) to do the works of Jesus. That is disobedience, rebellion, and spiritual adultery which provokes God to jealousy: “You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God.” (James 4:4)

Uniting with unbelievers to “make the world a better place” is an unequally-yoked endeavor. Nowhere in Scripture did Jesus, the apostles, or the prophets team up with unbelievers to do anything for God. How can 2 walk together except they be in agreement?

Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever? And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God said: “I will live in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people. Therefore, come out from among unbelievers, and separate yourselves from them, says the Lord. Touch not the unclean thing and I will welcome you. And I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” (2 Corinthians 6:14-18)

Interfaith unity is a deception, designed to rally everyone around one global “new world order.” The “god” of this new world order is Satan himself. He is the “god” that the religions of the world are worshiping under different names — not the God of the Bible.

Born-again Christians have no business participating in interfaith unity. Revelations 17-18 says that one day, God is going to pour out His wrath upon this united effort of mankind. And God did not appoint us to suffer the judgment of His wrath, but to obtain salvation in Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 5:9). Because of His kindness, mercy, grace, and patience — He is giving  people time to repent and calling Believers out of this new age tower of Babel: “Then I heard another voice calling from heaven, “Come out of her, my people. Do not take part in her sins, or you will be punished with her. For her sins are piled as high as heaven, and God remembers her evil deeds.” (Revelations 18:4-5)

For evidence that the Boy Scouts are in fact an interfaith religious organization, see their Manual for Chaplain Aides and Chaplains.

One section says “When present, members of the clergy or chaplain aide may be asked to lead the troop or other Scouting units in prayer. If the group consists of members with mixed beliefs, or if the beliefs of the group are unknown, then prayers should be of an interfaith content.“

The BSA website contains sample interfaith prayers and benedictions (the name of Jesus Christ is not mentioned anywhere). Christian parents, are you okay with your children being led in generic Satanic interfaith prayers? Are you okay with Scout leaders teaching your children to compromise their faith around unbelievers by refraining from using the name of Jesus?

On the BSA website under Conducting an Interfaith Service, it says “An interfaith service is a brief worship or meditation, specifically designed for Scouting events where there may be members of more than one faith group. The intention of an interfaith service (formerly known as a Scouts’ Own) is to provide a spiritual focus during a camping experience that does not reflect the views of a particular denomination or faith.

That last statement is a lie. . . an interfaith service does reflect the views of a particular faith — the interfaith religion. Christian parents, are you okay with your children participating in religious services which reflect the views of the interfaith religion and contradict/oppose the Faith of Jesus Christ?

Under the same section it says “To help ensure that nothing in an interfaith service would offend any participant, invite representatives of all faith groups with members present to participate in developing the service. Care must be used so that one person’s religious traditions are not imposed to offend another person. For example, one should not direct all attendees to remove their hats before prayer, as those of Jewish and Muslim faiths pray with heads covered. A more acceptable call to prayer would be: “Let us each prepare to pray according to his or her tradition.” Similarly, stating, “This we ask in Jesus’ name,” while making the prayer personal to the person leading it, could be troubling to people of other religions.

Reality is that many people find Jesus offensive and do not want to hear His name. But that does not mean we should compromise and deny Christ by refraining from using His name around unbelievers because they might get offended. Jesus said “Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.” (Matthew 10:32-33)

To refrain from praying in the name of Jesus is to deny Him and be ashamed of Him before men. Such christless prayers do not reach the ears of God, but are idolatrous pagan sacrifices and vain empty powerless words. Believers should not be praying with unbelievers in the first place, because it violates the prohibition against being unequally-yoked. We should be praying with other Believers FOR unbelievers to repent and be saved.

More evidence that the BSA is an interfaith religious organization:

From the very beginning, the Scouting movement has encouraged its members to be faithful in the practice of their religious beliefs. . . . The Cub Scout Promise, the Scout Oath, and the Explorer Code each call upon Scouts to pledge themselves to do their duty to God. At the same time, Scouting espouses no creed and favors no single faith over another faith. Rather, Scouting provides programs and ideals that complement the aims of all religions. . . . Scouting encourages a Scout to recognize an obligation or duty to God, but does not define what a belief in God is or define what constitutes a religious organization. As Scout leaders we must be careful not to favor one faith over another. In conducting Scouting activities, we must be sensitive to the need to encourage all Scouts to grow in their own religious beliefs and faiths. Remember that Scouts have a “Duty to God.”  (The Official Boy Scout Handbook, 1990)

“The Boy Scouts of America has always been committed to the moral, ethical, and spiritual development of our youth. Scouting is not a religion, but duty to God is a basic tenet of the Scout Oath and Law. Scouting does not seek to impose its beliefs upon others who do not share them. Virtually every religion is represented in Scouting and the BSA does not define or interpret God. That is the role of the Scout’s family and religious advisers. Scouting respects those who do not share its beliefs and it would not ask others to alter their faith in any fashion in order to become Scouts. They too are free to follow their own beliefs.” (Reaffirmation of the Position of the Boy Scouts of America on Duty to God, October 7, 1998)

The last underlined statements above are a lie. Christians would have to alter their faith in order to observe the interfaith beliefs of the BSA and participate in their interfaith services. A Believer who joins the BSA is not free to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, because it is impossible to do so and at the same time follow the interfaith beliefs of the BSA. One cancels out the other. Jesus said that it is impossible to serve 2 masters at the same time (Matthew 6:24). Christians cannot serve Him and simultaneously serve the idol of interfaith unity.

Believers have a responsibility to raise our children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). The interfaith beliefs of the BSA are most definitely not in agreement with the discipline and instruction of the Lord, but in fact, oppose the word of God.

Proverbs 22:6 says to direct our children onto the right path, and when they get older, they will not depart from it. Yet research shows that by the time children leave “Christian” households and go to college, they abandon what little Christian teaching they had, and become secular humanists (atheists, agnostics, and new agers). One of the reasons why Christian parents are losing the battle for their children’s soul, is because they immersed them in the influence of New Age spirituality.

Once again, I am not trying to take away from the honorable deeds and wholesome activities of the BSA. But all of the honorable and wholesome activities are not worth it if it means subjecting your child to the interfaith agenda.

Are you willing to sacrifice your child’s spiritual development just so they can go camping, sell cookies, and volunteer in the community? Can’t they do all of the latter WITHOUT joining an interfaith religious organization which will lead them to compromise their faith in Jesus Christ? Why don’t parents do these things with their sons independently? Or their local church? Have parents and the local church relegated their responsibility to raise God-fearing young men to an interfaith group like the BSA, which concealed pedophilia crimes for decades and is now deciding whether they will allow open homosexuals?

The BSA is not built on the rock solid foundation of Jesus Christ. It was built on the shaky foundation of interfaith unity. That is why it was so easily infiltrated by pedophiles, and that is why the BSA is possibly about to give way to the demands of the homosexual mafia.

An organization cannot be interfaith, inclusionist, and enable child sexual abuse — then turn around and try to lock out open homosexuals from its membership. An organization cannot build itself on demonic religious beliefs, empower devilish crimes, and then tell children of the devil that they are not allowed to join if they are open homosexuals or atheists.

If the BSA welcomes the membership of people who worship rocks, trees, the sun, the moon, animals, the universe, shiva, etc — then by what logic, basis, or authority can they exclude people who don’t believe in any god(s) at all and worship their own lusts?

If the BSA welcomes the membership of people who practice homosexual-affirming religions — then by what logic, basis, or authority can they exclude open homosexuals? Because homosexuality isn’t morally straight and clean? O-K. But interfaith unity isn’t morally straight and clean either. Nor is Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Scientology, Mormonism, or any other religion which denies the true Jesus Christ.

I am not saying that I agree with homosexual activists and atheists protesting the BSA, filing lawsuits, and trying to bully their way into the BSA. I think it is dangerous to allow open homosexuals into a youth organization, and I think it is absurd for an atheist (who detests religion) to join a religious organization. I’m simply pointing out the quagmire that inclusionist-interfaith groups get themselves into when they try to exclude certain groups. They have no true foundation or authority to stand on.

elephant-in-the-room

The Elephant In The Room

Some homosexual activists and their “progressive” sympathizers point out the hypocrisy of the BSA — enabling pedophile crimes for decades, yet disallowing open homosexuals as members.

But here is what I wonder. . . . why do homosexual activists who know about the pedophile problem in the BSA STILL WANT TO JOIN ANYWAY??

It’s as if homosexual activists are saying “Hey! The BSA allows pedophiles! We want to join too!” . . . .HUH!?? Why would homosexuals (who claim to be “morally straight” and “clean”) want to join an organization with a history of enabling and covering-up pedophile crimes? To me, their aggressive fight to join a youth group with a systemic crisis of child sexual abuse is a huge elephant in the room and very suspect.

If homosexuals were truly “morally straight” and “clean” they wouldn’t want to join an organization with a marred history of concealing pedophile crimes. The fact that they do, shows that something is seriously wrong with homosexuals activists, and that there is a segment of men in the homosexual activist movement who desire access to children. I cannot think of any other reason why grown homosexual men would viciously fight to join an organization with a systemic problem of child sexual abuse.

The Roman Catholic church also has a long history of systemic child sexual abuse and enabling pedophiles. Because of this, many people have rightly left the Roman Catholic church. They have stopped giving the RCC their money and ceased supporting the pope. To support the RCC is to support their damage control system which protects pedophiles and victimizes children. A rational, humane, caring person understands this. Only someone who is perverse and twisted will acknowledge the systemic crisis of child sexual abuse in the RCC, and still INSIST on joining anyway. Morally straight and clean people don’t want anything to do with the RCC. They don’t protest and fight to be altar boys or priests in the RCC. The same goes for the BSA.

Many people suspect that there are homosexual pedophiles within the homosexual activist movement, and that this segment is behind the fiery drive to change the BSA policy on homosexuality so that they can have access to children. Homosexual activists insist that this is not the case. However, they bring suspicion upon themselves by pointing out the pedophile problem in the BSA and then fighting for their right to join.

Christian parents, if you put your son(s) in the BSA, be aware of everything I have shared with you here. Your son’s Scoutmaster may or may not have been properly and thoroughly screened. Your son will be unequally-yoked with unbelievers and exposed to interfaith beliefs. And the BSA policy on homosexuality might be revoked very soon. The presence of open homosexuals in the Boy Scouts will radically change your son’s understanding of human sexuality, and that is precisely what homosexual activists want.

This controversy is not about an “oppressed minority group” seeking equality in the BSA so that they can go camping, sell cookies, and volunteer in the community. This is about an extremist fringe group seeking to re-define human sexuality so that they can absolve themselves of feeling any guilt or conviction of sin.

Homosexual activists do not care about Boy Scout youth. They are not doing this for the children. They are narcissistic, so they are doing this for themselves to gratify their own lusts. They view children as a pawn, and they want to exploit the Boy Scouts as a tool to advance their radical sexual agenda.

They know that they cannot change your mind, so they are circumventing your parental authority to gain access to impressionable children and re-program their minds. Please wake up and realize the severity of this spiritual war. I pray that you will do the right thing.

Freedom To Be Real – Introduction

In the fantasy land of churchianity, you are not allowed to be real.

You are presented with a false image of what a Believer is suppose to look like, think like, feel like, talk like, and act like. Normally this false image looks something like Joel and Victoria Osteen.

victoria-osteen-joel-osteen2

Aren’t they so positive and optimistic? Don’t they look victorious? Look at the joy on their face. They’re always smiling and upbeat no matter what. It’s obvious that they’re overcomers and more than conquerers. What a strong Christian couple! Even their hair, teeth, makeup, and wardrobe are picture perfect. They’re like an anointed version of June and Ward Cleaver. But there’s a problem. . .

They aren’t real.

No one “thinks positive” all the time. No one has an “optimistic” attitude all of the time. No one feels victorious and joyful all the time. No one smiles all the time. No one is upbeat all the time. No one is strong all of the time. And no one looks picture perfect all of the time. Yet the Osteens do? Give me a break. The Osteens are 2 paper dolls who have been propped up as a false image of a Believer. And it is time that the people of God stop trying to be like Ken and Barbie, and be real.

ken and barbie. jpg

And please note, when I speak of being real, I’m not referring to “being real” in the same sense as this godless culture which equates “being real/keeping it real” with being carnal, profane, brazen, reckless, careless, defiant, lacking discretion, and lacking self-control. As Believers, we do not play the “I’m being real/keeping it real” card as an excuse to be lewd, abrasive, and ungodly — that is not what I am encouraging here. I’m referring to being real in the sense of embracing and expressing our unique multifaceted personality and being honest through all the ups and downs of life as a Believer.

So, in this series “Freedom To Be Real” I’m going to address the lies which hinder Believers from being real, open, and honest.

Does Your Pastor Think He’s MOSES??

Many religious leaders today are having an identity crisis. . . . they think they’re MOSES.

identity crisis

Signs That Your Pastor Thinks He’s Moses

1. Your pastor believes that he has the SAME spiritual status, rank, authority, and ‘prophetic mantle’ as Moses.

2. Your pastor flaunts his supposed ‘authority’ over the congregation and justifies it by saying “God ordained me to rule over this church just as He ordained Moses to rule over Israel.”

3. Your pastor portrays himself as “God’s appointed mouthpiece/prophet to the church” and tries to parallel it with God appointing Moses as a prophet to Israel.

4. Your pastor implies that he’s “more anointed” than everyone else and tries to justify his conceit by quoting [out of context] the Scripture where God took the Spirit upon Moses and anointed 70 elders.

5. Your pastor claims that anyone who says anything “negative” about him and “puts their mouth on the man of God” will come under a curse. He justifies this by pointing to the Scripture where God struck Miriam with leprosy for speaking against Moses. This scare tactic is meant to frighten you from discerning his fruit and holding him accountable to God’s word for teaching error and living in sin.

6. Your pastor calls himself your “spiritual covering” and tries to justify it by claiming that “Moses was the spiritual covering of Joshua and the children of Israel.”

7. Your pastor is an untouchable “pope” at the top of a church-pyramid where he isn’t accountable to the congregation. He says that he’s accountable to God alone and tries to justify his top-down authority structure by pointing to the Old Covenant Moses-model of leadership.

8. Your pastor has ‘ministry assistants’ waiting on him hand and foot as if he’s a king or a religious diva. He tries to rationalize this by saying “Moses delegated authority to leaders who served under him. They learned humility by serving. You can’t have authority without submitting to the authority of the man of God.”

9. Your pastor believes that he represents God in your life “just as Moses represented God before the children of Israel.”

10. Your pastor believes that anyone who tries to minister “without his permission” is “usurping his authority’ and trying to take over *HIS* ‘church’ “just like Korah usurped Moses’ authority and wanted to take Moses’ position over Israel.” Insecure paranoid leaders use this tactic to keep their position on lock and control who goes into ministry.

obey

11. Your pastor believes that when he speaks, it is the same thing as God speaking — therefore if you don’t listen to him and do what he says, God will punish you and the devil will wreak havoc in your life.  This is all rationalized by the following line of thought, “God put His word in Moses’ mouth. Therefore when Moses spoke, it was actually God speaking. And anyone who didn’t listen to Moses was punished and died in the wilderness. Since the pastor is as Moses over the church, you must obey the man of God.”

12. Your pastor believes that the life and ministry of Moses foreshadowed him and his ministry.

The word “foreshadow” means “to indicate or suggest in advance; to show or represent beforehand by a figure or type.” Foreshadowing [as this very word implies] is when the shadow of an object is thrown before the advancing object itself, in order to present an image of that which is to come. The purpose of foreshadowing is to give a hint or a sign of something that will happen later.

In the Old Testament, God used various individuals, objects, and events to foreshadow New Testament events, the body of Christ, and above all Jesus Himself. It can be said that the Old Testament was intended to give God’s people a sneak preview of Jesus Christ and things to come.

One example of foreshadowing is Noah’s ark which pointed to Christ as the Ark of Salvation. Another example of foreshadowing is the Old Covenant Passover lamb which pointed to Christ as the Lamb of God.

Religious leaders who believe that Moses foreshadowed themselves are guilty of blasphemy and idolatry. How so? Because Moses Foreshadowed Jesus Christ.

Moses & Jesus

The Scriptures clearly teach that the life and ministry of Moses foreshadowed Jesus Christ.

In Deuteronomy 18:15, Moses said “The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your fellow Israelites. You must listen to him.

Then a few verses down in Deuteronomy 18:18-19, God reaffirmed that He would raise up a prophet like Moses “I will raise up a prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites. I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell the people everything I command him. I will personally deal with anyone who will not listen to the messages the prophet proclaims on my behalf.”

The Scriptures above show that God promised to raise up a prophet like Moses. This prophet and His message would be so important that God will personally deal with anyone who rejects Him.

My friends, this prophet is not your local pastor who erroneously sees himself as “the 2nd coming of Moses.” It is the Lord Jesus Christ.

Let’s take a look at the similarities between Moses & Christ

1. Moses was an Israelite, and according to the flesh, Christ was an Israelite.

2. Satan tried to murder both Moses and Christ while they were infants to prevent the deliverance of God’s people (Exodus 1:15-22; Matthew 2:16-18).

3. Both Moses and Christ were born while the children of Israel suffered under the domination and bondage of Gentile rule (Exodus 1:8-10; Luke 2:1-5).

4. Both Moses and Christ spent their early years in Egypt (Exodus; Matthew 2:13-15).

5. Both Moses and Christ were brought up by men who were not their biological fathers (Exodus 2:9-10; Luke 2:33). Moses was raised by Pharaoh and his daughter, and Christ was raised by Joseph.

6. Both Moses and Christ saw the burdens of their Israelite brethren and had compassion on them (Exodus 2:11; Mark 6:34).

7. Both Moses and Christ sat at a well to rest, and were kind to women by offering them water. Moses watered the flocks of the the daughters of the priest of Midian. And Christ offered living water to the Samaritan woman (Exodus 2:15-17; John 4:5-15). Both went outside of cultural customs by speaking with women.

8. Both Moses and Christ performed extraordinary miracles to confirm God’s word and prove that they were sent by the Father (Exodus 4:1-9; Exodus 4:28-31; Exodus 14:31; Deuteronomy 34:10-12; Mark 2:10-11; John 3:1-2; John 5:36; John 10:37-38, John 14:10-11; John 20:30-31; Acts 2:22).

9. Both Moses and Christ gave God’s people the law/covenant. The Old law/covenant came through Moses, and the New law/covenant came through Christ (Exodus 24:8; Joshua 23:6; Hebrews 12:24; Hebrews 13:20; Matthew 26:26-28; Romans 8:2; Galatians 6:2).

10. The law/covenant of Moses was inaugurated by the blood of animals, and the law/covenant of Christ was inaugurated by His own blood (Exodus 24:8; Hebrews 9:11-22).

11. Both Moses and Christ were transfigured on the top of a mountain (Exodus 34:29-35; Matthew 17:1-3).

12. The children of Israel rejected Moses and Christ and wanted to kill them both (Exodus 17:1-4; Mark 15:12-14; John 1:10-11; John 58-59).

13. Both Moses and Christ chose 12 men, then appointed 70 others (Deuteronomy 1:23; Mark 3:14; Numbers 11:15; Luke 10:1).

14. Both Moses and Christ forsook riches and made themselves poor servants, choosing instead to suffer persecution with God’s people as sojourners in this world (2 Corinthians 8:9; Hebrews 11:24-26; Philippians 2:5-8).

17. Moses was a shepherd, and Christ is our Good Shepherd (Exodus 3:1; John 10).

18. Moses was called to deliver God’s people from slavery in Egypt (Exodus 3:10). Jesus was called to deliver people from slavery to sin and out of spiritual Egypt (Luke 4:18-19; Luke 19:10; John 8:31-36, Acts 7:35).

19. Moses was a ruler of Israel, and Christ is our Ruler (Acts 7:35; Micah 5:2; Matthew 2:5-6).

20. The children of Israel were baptized into Moses and Believers are baptized into Christ (1 Corinthians 10:1-2; Mark 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Romans 6:4; Ephesians 4:5; Colossians 2:12).

21. Both Moses and Christ fasted for 40 days and 40 nights (Exodus 34:28; Matthew 4:1-2).

22. Both Moses and Christ washed their brethren with water to consecrate them for service unto God (Leviticus 8:6; John 13:3-5).

23. Both Moses and Christ interceded for God’s people (Exodus 32:9-14; Deuteronomy 9:25-27; Numbers 14:11-20; Numbers 21:7; Luke 23:34; Romans 8:34; Hebrews 7:25).

24. Both Moses and Christ are noted in Scripture for their humility (Numbers 12:3; Philippians 2:5-11).

These similarities are not a coincidence. God orchestrated the life and ministry of Moses so that it would foreshadow the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. The apostles understood this very well and proclaimed that Jesus is the Prophet who would be like Moses (Acts 3:22-23; Acts 7:37).

“Philip went to look for Nathanael and told him, “We have found the very person Moses and the prophets wrote about! His name is Jesus, the son of Joseph from Nazareth.” (John 1:45)

“If you really believed Moses, you would believe me, because he wrote about me.” (John 5:46)

“For He [Jesus] was faithful to God, who appointed Him, just as Moses served faithfully when he was entrusted with God’s entire house. But Jesus deserves far more glory than Moses, just as a person who builds a house deserves more praise than the house itself. For every house has a builder, but the one who built everything is God. Moses was certainly faithful in God’s house as a servant. His work was an illustration of the truths God would reveal later. But Christ, as the Son, is in charge of God’s entire house. And we are God’s house, if we keep our courage and remain confident in our hope in Christ.” (Hebrews 3:2-6)

Moses, Jesus, & The Pharisees

Jesus often ran into conflicts with the scribes and Pharisees because of their pride, hypocrisy, and spiritual blindness.

One of the manifestations of their pride was that they assumed upon themselves the authority of Moses: “Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and to His disciples, saying: “The scribes and Pharisees have SEATED THEMSELVES in the chair of Moses.” (Matthew 23:1-2)

The term “chair of Moses” or “Moses seat” isn’t referring to a literal chair that Moses sat on. It’s an expression which refers to the authority of Moses to teach the law of God and lead the children of Israel.

The scribes and Pharisees wanted the same authority that God gave Moses to teach the law and be leaders over Israel. Yet God did not appoint them to the chair of Moses — they were self-appointed as Jesus said, they “have seated themselves.

Similarly, many religious leaders today want the authority of Moses, so they sit themselves in the chair of Moses. Yet God has not appointed them. The only one with authority from the Father to sit in the chair of Moses is Jesus Christ.

The scribes and Pharisees exalted themselves as stellar examples of obedience to the law of Moses and official interpreters of the law. Yet they side-stepped God’s commandments and canceled them out for the sake of keeping their own false traditions (Mark 7:1-13).

In like manner, many religious leaders today consider themselves to be the greatest examples of obedience to Jesus and expert interpreters of His teachings. However, they render the teachings of Jesus null and void by substituting them with their own customs, ideas, and concepts.

Whereas Moses was humble, the scribes and Pharisees were prideful: Everything they do is for show. On their arms they wear extra wide prayer boxes with Scripture verses inside, and they wear robes with extra long tassels. And they love to sit at the head table at banquets and in the seats of honor in the synagogues. They love to receive respectful greetings as they walk in the marketplaces, and to be called ‘Rabbi’ [meaning 'my Great One, Master']. Don’t let anyone call you ‘Rabbi,’ for you have only one Teacher, and all of you are equal as brothers and sisters.” (Matthew 23:5-8)

The pompous behavior of the Pharisees is a mirror image of today’s leadership. Yet ironically, they consider themselves to be a modern-day Moses, but where is their humility? Show me in Scripture where Moses power-postured over others by emphasizing his authority, rank, position, anointing, gifts, and revelation knowledge.  Show me in Scripture where Moses had people call him by honorific titles and elevate him by sitting him in the highest seats. Moses did no such thing, but many ‘pastors’ today do and have the audacity to fancy themselves as a modern-day Moses.

Where Does The Moses-complex Come From?

The answer can be found in 2 Corinthians 3:14-16: “But their minds were hardened, and to this day whenever the old covenant is being read, the same veil covers their minds so they cannot understand the truth. And this veil can be removed only by believing in Christ. Yes, even today when they read Moses’ writings, their hearts are covered with that veil, and they do not understand. But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.”

veil

It may sound striking to you. . . . but the fact of the matter is, many religious leaders today think they’re Moses because their minds are hardened and their hearts are covered with a veil so that they do not understand the truth. They TALK about Christ, but they have not yet turned to Christ — otherwise, He would have lifted the veil from their hearts so that they can understand His word.

How else can one explain the blasphemous mentality of leaders who think they are “as Moses/Jesus” over the household of God? Is this mentality indicative of someone who has turned to Christ? Or is it indicative of someone who does not know Him? Indeed someone does not know Christ if they are blaspheming Him by attempting to sit in the chair of Moses.

Their minds are hardened, which is why they do not understand the Scriptures about Moses and the entire Old Covenant in general which foreshadowed Jesus Christ. In their blindness and arrogance — they believe that the Scriptures about Moses testify of themselves, and they use the Old Testament as a footnote for self-exalting sermons.

It is only when someone humbles themselves and turns to the Lord that He removes the veil which covers their heart. Then the eyes of their understanding will be enlightened, and they will see Jesus Christ proclaimed all throughout the Old Testament.

“You search the Scriptures because you think they give you eternal life. But the Scriptures point to ME! Yet you refuse to come to me so that you may have life.” (John 5:39-49)

“Consecrated” Or EMASCULATED??

The video above is an excerpt of a bishop’s “consecration” service which took place at Great Faith International Ministries located in Detroit, Michigan.

In the video, “bishop” Wayne T. Jackson [founder of Great Faith International Ministries] commanded 2 men to get on their knees. After they immediately fell to their knees in unthinking subservience, Jackson said “You gotta be buried. You gotta die. . . so Christ can live in you. Be prepared for burial.” Then with the wave of his hand [motioning them to lay down], they laid down prostrate before Jackson with their faces down.

2 assistants then stepped forward and totally covered both men with white sheets. Then Jackson crouched down at the feet of the first man being “consecrated” [Junaldo O. Lee, 'pastor' of Jackson's satellite 'church' in Atlanta, GA] and grabbed Lee’s ankles holding onto them tightly while he pretended to pray.

Jackson then stood to his feet, threw a red cape over Lee, and suddenly threw himself upon Lee with his body fully laying on top of Lee’s. Keeping in mind that Jackson’s groin area is right on top of Lee’s backside, Jackson begins to shake, tremble, and contort his face while pretending to cry on top of another grown man. He then performed the same ritual on the second man laying prostrate on the ground.

To my absolute horror and disgust, no one stood up and objected to this blatant act of idolatry and emasculation disguised as an act of “consecration”. But rather, members of the congregation jumped to their feet, clapped, and shouted accolades of praise while the choir sang even louder “I give myself awaaaaay!”

Where Is Any Of This In Scripture?

The Scriptures command us to “test all things” (1 Thessalonians 5:21), “test the spirits” (1 John 4:1), and know a tree by its fruit (Matthew 7:15-20). And we test all things by the word of God and the Spirit of God — not by our feelings/emotions, religious traditions, nor blindly accept everything that is said and done in church “because the bishop is a true man of God, therefore everything that he does is of God.” A gullible, naive, assumptive, undiscerning, blind devotee mentality leads to more deception, more bondage, and in the end — being given over to a strong delusion. Therefore it is imperative that we use discernment and carefully scrutinize all things by God’s word and God’s Spirit.

The obvious problem with this “consecration” service is that none of the rituals can be found in Scripture. There are a plethora of examples in God’s word of consecration protocols and practices. Yet nowhere in Scripture do we see Moses, Aaron, the prophets, Jesus, the apostles, or anyone else consecrating someone into ministry in such an inappropriate and perverted fashion.

Not only are none of the rituals from the video found in Scripture, but there is nothing in Scripture that can be stretched to justify the gross act of a grown man mounting other men and writhing on top of them.

Multiple Believers have asked Wayne T. Jackson and members of Great Faith International Ministries for Scriptural support, and in response Jackson brushed off correction and concern from the body of Christ with the wave of a hand. Read his high-minded flippant reply “I just want to say thank you for all your feedback on my page. It is really interesting that some people can take a video such as this so out of context. I am not here on Facebook or anywhere else to debate the Word or to debate with man/woman. The Word does state “You will know them by their fruits Matthew 7:16.. This is absolutely demonic and a waste of time for us to be engaged in a debate in this. God bless!!”

Apparently Jackson and his devotees think it’s “demonic” and a “waste of time” to use discernment, request Scriptural support, and correct and rebuke that which contradicts the truth of God. And who asked him to “debate” anything? If the word of God TRULY supported what he did at that desecration service, then there would be no debate, because he could silence all of us by simply presenting the word of God IN-CONTEXT. But since WE know, and HE knows, that the word of God does not support him mounting grown men and embracing them on the ground — he plays the “attacked/persecuted victim” role and hides behind the worn-out cliche that he “doesn’t debate the word.”

Jackson claimed that the rituals symbolized dying to self and being buried with Christ, so that He can live in us. However, that’s a lie that he used to justify his ungodly behavior. The truth is that God has ALREADY given us the ceremony of water baptism to symbolize our old man being put to death, buried, and the new man being resurrected to life in Christ:

“Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” (Romans 6:4)

For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead.” (Colossians 2:12)

But What About 2 Kings 4:32?

Members of GFIM have visited this blog attempting to justify Jackson’s bizarre behavior with 2 Kings 4:32.

However, in 2 Kings 4:32 Elisha laid on a DEAD boy [the boy was FACE UP by the way] and the boy came back to life. Yet at the “consecration” service, no one was DEAD and no one was healed or resurrected. So there is NO analogy, comparison, or parallel between 2 Kings 4:32 and Jackson’s behavior at the “consecration” service.

The Scriptures already give us specific instructions on how to appoint men of God as elders. It says to pray for them, prophesy over them to stir up the gift(s) within them, and to LAY HANDS upon them [see 1 Timothy 4:14 and 2 Timothy 1:6], NOT tell them to get on their knees and lay prostrate, grab their ankles, and lay one’s BODY upon their backside. None of this can be found in Scripture in the context of consecrating and appointing an elder.

Men Covering Other Men Violates The Word of God

I find it very significant that the ritual involved men covering other men [both figuratively and literally].

Much of this covering nonsense in churchianity today stems from idolatry [leader-worship], manipulation, ignorance of Scripture, and men lusting after affirmation, approval, and validation from other men.

However, the word of God is clear that GOD is our spiritual covering and that Jesus is the Head of every man. Therefore, it is a sin and a violation of God’s word for men to spiritually-cover other men.

“And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the Lord shall dwell in safety by him; and THE LORD SHALL COVER HIM all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders.” (Deuteronomy 33:12)

“I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the COVER of thy wings. Selah.” (Psalm 61:4)

He [GOD] SHALL COVER THEE with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.” (Psalm 91:4)

“He [GOD] spread a cloud for a COVERING; and fire to give light in the night.” (Psalm 105:39)

Here is what God said when the children of Israel sought covering from men: “Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and THAT COVER WITH A COVERING, but NOT OF MY SPIRIT, that they may add SIN TO SIN:” (Isaiah 30:1)

It is rebellion and a sin in the eyes of God to seek covering from men. Also see the following passage which states that Christ is the Head of every man, and that a man should not cover his head: “But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. A man dishonors his head if he covers his head while praying or prophesying. For a man indeed ought not cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.” (1 Corinthians 11:3-4, 7)

This passage is not merely about physical head coverings, but about spiritual covering and the order of headship in God’s Kingdom. The Father is the Head of Christ and Christ is the Head of every man. . . and a man dishonors his head if he covers his head with something else while ministering, but this is exactly what happened in the rituals. The outward act of submitting themselves to being covered by white sheets, a red bishop’s cape, and the body of Wayne T. Jackson — represented their inner lust to seek spiritual covering, headship, affirmation, and validation from another man. They allowed themselves to be covered on the outside by men, because they lusted on the inside for covering from men.

By covering themselves with something or someone else rather, it dishonored their TRUE HEAD who is Jesus Christ. This is unholy and unseemly behavior for a man, as it violates God’s Headship order and usurps the spiritual covering that He alone provides.

Were These Men “Consecrated” Or EMASCULATED?

Emasculate means “to castrate, to remove the testicles of, to deprive of strength or vigor, to weaken, effeminate, to deprive of effectiveness.”

The gentlemen in the video were most definitely not consecrated by any Scriptural definition. They were spiritually-neutered. Subjecting yourself [as a man] to a perverse ungodly act with another man is emasculating. It deprives you of your strength, vigor, and effectiveness as a man of God. And as long as you’re emasculated and refuse to MAN UP, you cannot fully stand up as a man of God for holiness and against sin, because something in you is subservient to the devil and will keep you in a state of compromise.

The True Faith and the True Gospel of Jesus Christ develop real men — men who have a spiritual backbone to stand up for Jesus Christ, righteousness, faith, truth, justice, integrity, grace and mercy. Not just when it’s convenient or when it will make one look like the hero, but also when it’s inconvenient, uncomfortable, and brings persecution and slander from those who are deceived.

Jesus is the perfect example of a real Man. He was totally submitted to the Father, and because of His submission to the Father, He refused to submit to wicked leaders and seek their approval and affirmation. He knew that His ministry came from our Father in heaven, so He felt no need to cower down to the scribes and Pharisees so that they could validate his ministry. They could not add anything to who He was, and He let them know it in a godly assertive manner: Your approval means nothing to me, because I know you don’t have God’s love within you. For I have come to you in my Father’s name, and you have rejected me. Yet if others come in their own name, you gladly welcome them. No wonder you can’t believe! For you gladly honor each other, but you don’t care about the honor that comes from the one who alone is God.” (John 5:41-44)

What an awesome example of manliness in our Savior. But where were any of these godly attributes during the “consecration” service? They were totally absent. Instead of seeing real men of God with spiritual fortitude, we saw spiritually-castrated religious weeping willows without a robust identity in Jesus Christ, totally subservient and dominated by another man gyrating against their backside.
It is abundantly clear to me that real men are not allowed at Great Faith International Ministries, because JESUS is not allowed. Wayne T. Jackson has zero tolerance for godly men in his presence because they would hold him accountable, refuse to buckle under pressure, and be unaffected by his religious emotional manipulation. So so he surrounds himself with silly women and silly women IN DRAG [effeminized men] who fall to their knees and lay prostrate before him.
Many black pastors complain about the lack of men in their ‘churches’ — yet this is one of the main reasons why. The only ‘men’ who will accommodate, celebrate, and acquiesce to ungodly sissified leadership are silly women and ungodly sissified men who are more concerned with climbing the corporate ladder in churchianity and impressing “the manna god.” But real men who have been consecrated by Jesus Christ and seek the honor that comes from the only God will not subject themselves and their families to such perverse spiritual mutilation. They will stand firmly against it.
